Oh boy, the North and South are in agreement: Both Punxsutawney Phil and our own General Beauregard Lee saw their shadows this morning...six more weeks of winter. We have a couple of ideas to get through the winter blues: Make plans to join us at our 17th annual Dog and Pony Show Reception on Saturday, February 22--our Juror-for-Life Ray Sullivan will be here from Florida to award the prizes and to give his Juror's Talk at the gathering. Or, try reading a completely different book from your regular choices.
Join one of our book groups--nothing like a deadline and the prospect of great conversation to get reading! And, don't forget Valentine's Day--come on by and pick out a book for your favorite homo sapien. Or, consider poetry--there's something totally romantic about reading poetry aloud to each other...
Our 2025 book groups are thriving with titles that are sure to prompt great discussions and laughter. And, our discussion group on current topics "Living Room Conversations" returns this month as well!

Enjoy the 2025 Dog and Pony Show!
It's our annual photo show celebrating dogs and horses--two of the best "huggables" in the world! We partner with CoCo's Cupboard (our local dog rescue group) to bring the annual celebration to dog and horse lovers. The show opens on February 22nd with our Reception from 6-8. Enjoy our scrumptious hot dog feast , meet many of the photographers, and hear Ray Sullivan's Juror's Talk at 7. And, hold on to your hearts as Coco's parades the sweetish pooches you've ever seen (they're looking for forever homes....).

THURSDAY, February 6th: THE DROP-IN GUILT-FREE BOOK GROUP meets at the store at 7:00 p.m.! We're discussing "Hello, Beautiful" by Ann Napolitano--Join us!
FRIDAY, February 7th: THE WRITING GROUP meets from 6-8:00. Share your writing and get inspired!
MONDAY, February 10th at 6 pm: THE ROMANCE PAGES SOCIETY reads "Done and Dusted". Join us at 7 for a great discussion!
SATURDAY, February 15th: NOVELS at NIGHT discusses "A Dark and Drowning Tide" at 5:00 pm.
WEDNESDAY, February 19th at High Noon: The BROWN BAG BOOK GROUP discusses Frozen River by Ariel Lawhorn. Join us!
LIVING ROOM CONVERSATIONS will happen on SUNDAY, February 16th at 3:00 for a robust discussion of a current topic--TBD! We welcome anyone who is interested in civil discussion and learning about our diverse community.
