“Fiction is art and art is the triumph over chaos… to celebrate a world that lies spread out around us like a bewildering and stupendous dream.”
― John Cheever
Happy Valentine's Day Book Lovers!
Oh boy, Punxsutawney Phil and our own General Beauregard Lee saw their shadows this morning...six more weeks of winter. We have a couple of ideas to get through the winter blues: Take some great photos of your dog or horse and enter them into our annual Dog and Pony Show--deadline is February 19th! Click here to enter your work! And, make plans to join us at our 18th annual Dog and Pony Show Reception on Saturday, March 21st! And when the temps drop as they do without warning in February, try reading a completely different book from your regular choices to make the time fly by--we can make some great suggestions!
Join one of our book groups--nothing like a deadline and the prospect of great conversation to get reading! And, don't forget Valentine's Day--come on by and pick out a book for your favorite homo sapien. We've wrapped up some "mystery" titles that will be sure to please. Or, consider poetry--there's something totally romantic about reading poetry aloud to each other...
Our 2026 book groups are thriving with titles that are sure to prompt great discussions and laughter. And, our monthly discussion group on current topics promises some robust conversation!
Happy Valentine's Day, enjoy the season, stay warm, and don't forget to let us know what you're reading!
