Join Us in Celebrating May! And, Moms!

“Fiction is art and art is the triumph over chaos… to celebrate a world that lies spread out around us like a bewildering and stupendous dream.”

― John Cheever

Greetings, all! And here comes May with sunny, warm temps, blooming trees and flowers, and a host of great things happening at A Novel Experience! If you need a respite from the pollen join us at one of our inspiring, fun, social, book and discussion clubs! From the Spirituality Book Club to the Drop-In, Guilt-Free Book Club to our newest, The Romance Pages Society, we convene monthly for great conversation about books and current happenings--you might encounter titles and ideas that inspire, challenge, and, maybe, invoke memories and happiness.

Enjoy the wonderful photography that graces our walls this month by the incredible McDaniel mom and daughters team! It's called "Our Mother: Nature's Nurture" and celebrates the natural world around us. As Rachel says, "There's something infinitely peaceful in knowing the sun will shine after the rain, the seeds will sprout after trees fall, spring will come after the darkness of winter."

This month we welcome a host of self-published authors on Saturday, May 18th, who will be here showing and discussing their newest works. It's a great opportunity to talk with folks who have made their dreams of seeing their work in print a reality. May is also when we celebrate Memorial Day on the 27th (we'll be open our regular hours 10-7) and, our hats off to Moms all month--it's a time to honor some pretty significant people in our lives.

Thanks to Pike County School's, Kim Johnson, who organized last month's downtown Poetry Project this past month--it was inspirational! Keep it going--we have a lovely poetry collection for you to explore. Try reading poems aloud this month for a lovely respite from a stressful day.

Stop by, discover a book and enjoy it on your front porch at sundown!
